I was looking for flight ticket for my brother from Munich to Delhi and return too at skyscanner.co.in dated 31st October, 2016 and return on 11th November, 2016. I selected a flight showing price of Rs. 29805.00 and then I was redirected to cheapticket.in. I booked the ticket and paid the amount with booking id being: 288140. After a while I received a mail from cheapticket.in stating that I need to pay another Rs. 8570.00 the reason being “price difference”. Firstly, what is price difference? I must know this before making the payment and even after that skyscanner.co.in showed Rs. 29805.00. Then I instantly called the customer care and explained him the thing. The guy had an attitude which showed that they don’t care about customers. He told me that this happens due to some booking issues and all and told me to make the payment which I denied. So he told me to cancel the ticket and wait for 3-5 days for refund and also told me I can chargeback to get the money earlier. I told him that I would complain to consumer forum to which he says that I am free to do so. Now my point is, why this cheating to customers after making the payment. They could have asked for the whole amount at once so that the customer can step out if he doesn’t want at that price. Secondly, they can’t ask for more after booking. I felt duped like I have no way out, either I have to pay or cancel the payment. I did not make this payment and book ticket to cancel it and secondly wait for refunds for days. I want a fair justice to avail and my booking to be validated at the shown amount of Rs. 29805.00 or compensation to be paid for any extra amount I pay to make the same booking. These type of companies and websites must be thrown out of business at instance. Thanks and awaiting justice as soon as possible.
