On 11 October, 2016, I had purchased 5 sarees worth Rs 1499 from Snapdeal… but I got a discount of Rs 224 by applying promo code this COD order (Order Id: 15857297160) has to be delivered to my old mother in Gonda.

On 16 October, 2016, in Gonda, my father received the order after paying Rs 1275 as the COD amount… And when my mother opened the packet, she found one single suit piece and two bills… One bill is of 5 sarees which was not present in that packet… and another was of that suit that meant to be delivered to some different address.

So, same day I filled a replacement request with Snapdeal… And I got a mail from Snapdeal saying that “Your item cannot be picked up as your address lies outside our serviceable area for reverse pickup. Please send it to our warehouse via any national courier. we will reimburse the courier charges to your FreeCharge Account.”

On 17 October, My father couriered the Snapdeal packet and its content that is suit piece and two bills via DTDC (Snapdeal Warehouse Address: Vulcan Lucknow Khasra No. 3119, Amausi Industrial Area, Gram- Amausi, Pargana- Bijnor City, Lucknow/ State Uttar Pradesh, PIn 226008)… And he paid Rs 165 as courier charges… And father send me the image of receipt also on my mobile…

Next day, I uploaded the courier receipt in the Help Center of Snapdeal as was asked by them…

But on 20th October, Snapdeal messaged me that “We have received your returned item but your item did not meet our quality check criteria, we are unable to generate replacement for it. Your replacement request has now been closed. we will ship back your item to your original delivery address within next 48 hours. Once we ship it, you will receive an email with the AWB tracking number and courier details”

So, same day, I called on their number and generate a complain (Reference No. 32697220) with Snapdeal regarding this matter… their customer care executive told me that this is rejected since they haven’t received the courier receipt. I told her that I had already uploaded it on their website… She asked me to mail it once more by replying on the mail which she will forward it to me… Next day, I find that mail and I replied with the courier receipt as was asked by her…

After that, daily I used to call Snapdeal customer care for follow up and every time they assured us that they had forwarded this matter to their seniors and very soon, I will have my refund.

But one day, when I called their customer care regarding my complaint, they strictly denied to give back my refund amount along with courier charges saying that we are lying the whole thing. they had delivered the 5 sarees to our address not the suit. And if we want the refund then we have to mail the scan copy of suit piece bill.

Sir, this is not possible for me to mail them the scan copy of bill as my father had already couriered all the things to Snapdeal warehouse. And my old father is not smart enough to capture the images of things before sending the packet. they had to ask it before the reverse pick- up.

And finally, without any intimation, Snapdeal returned that suit piece at our address in Gonda. but this time both the bills are missing from the packet…

Now my parents had sended that packet to me in Delhi. Sir, I am a housewife who had to left her job so as to take care of her infant son… It’s very difficult for me to regularly visit consumer court for justice.

Sir, Please make sure to punish these types of unethical act from a fraudulent like Snapdeal… I want justice…
