Attached is our itinerary. On day 7, we were promised to be dropped in Bagdogra airport. We were ready by 4.00 AM on 9th Sep at our hotel. But the arranged driver was late by 40 mins, car didn’t have plastic cover to protect luggage from rain which caused another 15 mins delay to go to his office and take the cover and car didn’t have enough diesel which another 30 mins. The car tyres didn’t have sufficient air and the driver was immature to drive in slippery areas and stuck our car into mud which took 30 mins to release the car with the help of a lorry and lorry driver instructed our car driver to fill air in the tyres. To fill air we spent about 15 minutes. Later he didn’t have any documents(RC, Driving license, etc) for which the police caught and fined him. This caused another delay of 30 mins. No we were behind schedule of more than 2 hrs. After all this we were stuck in a landslide near Sevoke, West Bengal that had just occurred 20 mins before we reached there. This added to the delay by 1hr 30mins(totally 3hrs 30 mins delay to airport). We had missed our flight to Bangalore by the time we reached the airport. Yatra representaive named Vikas initially agreed to pay the ticket cost and arrange accommodation and travel if needed and asked us to enquire about the ticket availability and price. After enquiring, when we called again yatra never connected us to Vikas and another representative named Ashish Bhatia said they ca only refund 12000 and we have to arrange our accomodation and travel. But the ticket cost fro next day was 18000 and the same day was 44000. We felt insecure to stay in an unknown city and chose to fly on the smae day by paying 44000. Yatra is denying to accept the delay caused by them and they are not ready to compensate for the flight charges incurred in booking new tickets to cimplete our journey.
