I wish to lodge a formal complaint against a company named StartupFlora and Acolyte Technnologies which claimed to facilitate a ?7 Crore grant under the Prarambh Yojna government scheme for startups.
Based on repeated verbal confirmations, staged interviews, and persuasive communication, I was induced to pay a total of ?5.9 Lakhs as facilitation and processing charges with the assurance that the ?7 Cr grant had already been approved and would be disbursed shortly thereafter.
The detailed breakdown of the amounts paid is as follows:
?1,77,000 on 19-Jun-2025 – for Challan
?1,29,800 on 20-Jun-2025 – for Affidavit
?2,83,200 on 20-Jun-2025 – for Reversal Entry
After making these payments, there has been no legitimate response, documentation, or progress regarding the grant. I was pressured into signing an MOU that makes no mention of refunding the ?5.9 Lakhs if the grant does not materialize. This MOU was to be signed without any supporting email confirmation or written guarantee of reimbursement, which I never signed.
All subsequent email follow-ups have gone unanswered. It now appears that this is a carefully orchestrated advance-fee scam targeting startups under the guise of a government initiative.
I have already taken the following steps:
Filed a chargeback request with my credit card provider
Filed a cybercrime complaint at https://cybercrime.gov.in
Submitted a complaint on consumer complaints.
I am posting this complaint to raise public awareness and create a documented trail in support of ongoing legal proceedings.
I respectfully request the forum to review this matter and guide further action urgently.
