Replacement of Chimney by Kutchina – Rs.19,900/- : Subhajit Dey of Ambagan, Kolkata 700028, West Bengal purchased a Kutchina kitchen chimney (Model Name – Smarty) on the 08/06/2017. From the 3rd day of purchase, he started facing problems of “Oil leakage”. Even after three visits by the technician the chimney could not be repaired and the customer requested for replacement. Replacement of Khadai by Homeshop18: Pratibha Goel of Ambala cantt, Haryana (gpratibha.phy[@]gmail.com) bought a tawa, fry pan and khadai set from HS18. The handle of the khadai was broken on delivery. She called the customer care of HS18 for replacement but they said the customer has to courier it back to HS18 otherwise they will not replace. IFB washing machine repairs – Rs.27,350/-: Mr. T Kumarasamy of Chennai purchased a IFB Senorita Aqua washing machine from vasanth & co velacherry. On 16.11.2015 he registered a complaint with IFB service center since the washing machine was not working. A technician from from IFB came on 20.11.2015 and told the panel found faulty and it will be replaced by 23.11.2015 by IFB company since it is under warranty period. Refund from Shopclues – Rs.673/- : Ms. Sujatha Nair of Fort, Mumbai ordered (130128180) for Micro Fibre 3 Double Bedsheets with 6 pillow covers on 24/10/17 with Shoplcues but they sent her one Doormat instead. The customer sent numerous emails to Shopclues but there was no action on their part to resolve the issue. Refund from Travolook – Rs.17,825/- : Ms. Niharika Pilla of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh 530013 booked flight tickets from Srinagar to Visakhapatnam on 22/04/2021 for INR17825 and after payment she got a mail that the booking got cancelled due to rise in price and was told that the amount will be refunded within 10-15 days. Refund from Fitness First – Rs.3,000 – Ms. Aspriha Bhaumik of Indiranagar, Bangalore 560008, Karnataka had paid advance to a fitness club called Fitness First. The Club was later closed down but Ms. Bhaumik did not receive refund of the advance amount. She posted her complaint at ICF on 16-07-2016 and the matter was taken up with the Club. Complaint against MakeMyTrip for short payment of train ticket refund – Rs.1272/-: Mr. Thiyagarajan of Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu (thiyagarajan.t(at)gmail.com) had posted a complaint with us on 28-03-2010 for non-receipt of full refund from MakeMyTrip against cancellation of train ticket. Refund from Homeshop18 – Rs.2,140/-: David Johnson of Gaikata, Kharagpur 721301, West Bengal ordered a casserole from Home Shop 18 on 30.11.2014. The produce sent to him was of lower price. The customer reported this to Homeshop18 and returned the product as per their instructions. He however did not get refund even after repeated contacts with HS18. Mediclaim complaint against Oriental Insurance / Raksha TPA – Rs.2,00,000/-: Mr. Manoj Agrawal of Powai, Maharashtra (agrawalmanoj(at)hotmail.com) submitted a medical reimbursement claim for Vascular surgery (jugular vein) under policy with Oriental Insurance Co.
