I availed the broadband services of the Opposite Party, M/s Siti Broadband. The Opposite Party is a company engaged in the business of providing internet and broadband services to consumers for commercial consideration.
At the time of availing the connection, the Opposite Party demanded a security deposit of ?2,000, which I duly paid. The security deposit was a precondition for the service, and it was understood that this amount would be refunded upon the termination of the service and return of the equipment. A copy of the receipt/bill/agreement for the said payment is attached. That due to termination of services, I decided to terminate the broadband connection and duly requested for the termination of the service on 30th Aug, 2025.
The Opposite Party disconnected the service and also collected the modem/router and other equipment on we have not given the device because 2000 is not returned. The Complainant was assured that the security deposit of ?2,000 would be refunded to their bank account
