I had an unpleasant experience with Swiggy that genuinely raises questions about their policies and ethics.
I placed an order and had to cancel it within 1 minute due to a simple error in the delivery address. Despite cancelling almost instantly—clearly before the food was prepared or dispatched—Swiggy charged me ?* (including food cost, taxes, and delivery).
Support claimed the delivery agent “couldn’t find the address.” In under a minute? That response is not only illogical but makes the whole situation feel deeply questionable.
This experience leaves a poor impression:
1.No real grace period for genuine human error.
2.No transparency on how cancellation timelines or charges are decided.
3. Full amount deducted immediately without justification.
This isn’t just about ?*—it’s about trust. When platforms like Swiggy prioritize revenue from technicalities over fairness, it damages their brand and user trust.
I hope Swiggy revisits such policies, or else it risks being viewed less as a service and more as a system designed to exploit.
Consumers deserve better.
