Refund from United Travel – Rs.30,000/-: Mr. Shreenath Deshpande of Bangalore had paid Rs.30,000/- to United Travel agents towards booking of Simla-Manali-Agra package. The amount was deposited into the agents Indian Bank account on 30/11/2016. However, after receipt of the money, there was no response from the agent even after repeated emails. Refund from Lenovo – Rs.17,000: Mr. Manish Advani, Chembur, Mumbai, Maharashtra (manish.advani[@]mahindrassg.com) had submitted his Lenovo P780 for repairs on 13-11-2014 and was told that he would get back the device in 10 days. But even after two weeks the device was not ready and he was told that the spares are not available. Mr. Advani posted his complaint with ICF on 27-11-2014 and the matter was taken up with Lenovo. Cash not dispensed in ATM but account debited – Rs.2,100/-: Mr. N.C.Baruah of Bangalore (nb7831@gmail.com) used his UBI ATM at State Bank of India Sadasivanagar personal banking branch ATM on 5/4/09 to withdraw cash. Although the transaction was declined, his A/C with UBI was debited without cash being dispensed and without any transaction slip. Kotak Mahindra Bank changes a/c type without information – deduct charges from account: Mr. Atul Jain of Indore had posted a complaint on 03-09-2009 in the Forum with regard to Kotak Mahindra Bank changing his account type and debiting his account for non-maintenance of average quarterly balance.
