Here are some of the complaints solved by us. There could many more that have not been reported to us. We request consumer members to report to us whenever a complaint is resolved.
Mr. Vivek Sharma, Bangalore, KarnatakaRefund from DTDC – Rs.1,040/-: Mr. Vivek Sharma of Bangalore, Karnataka (vivek0217[@]gmail.com) sent a courier through DTDC , reference number D17166789, on 10th May 2014 but it was lost on its way to Delhi. Package contained shoes worth Rs800 which was declared. He had submitted all documents in support of his claim of Rs 1040 (800+ 240 courier charges) but DTDC were not processing the same. Mr. Sharma posted his complaint with ICF on 12-08-2014 and finally got his claim settled by 04-09-2014.
Mr. Jagadiswara Reddy, Bangalore, KarnatakaDefective Samsung mobile sold through Ebay – Rs.19,799/-: Mr. Jagadiswara Reddy, Bangalore (jagadish.t.reddy[@]gmail.com) had ordered one brand New SAMSUNG GALAXY Note2 N7100 with Ebay on 26-07-2014. After 10 days of receipt, Mr. Reddy found some defects in the handset and promptly reported the same to the Seller and Ebay. Ebay closed the complaint without any resolution. Mr. Reddy came to know from the Samsung Service Center that the mobile is a used one and the service is already active in February 2014. Mr Reddy’s further efforts to resolve the issue through Ebay and Seller failed and he posted his complaint with ICF on 23-08-2014. ICF referred the matter to Ebay and the Seller. Following further mail exchanges between Mr. Reddy and Ebay the issue was resolved and Mr. Reddy got refund by 14-09-2014.
Rahul Aggarwal, PunjabRefund from Paytm – Rs.400/-: Mr. Rahul Aggarwal of Punjab (Email: rahulaggarwal248[@]gmail.com) wanted to add 400rs paytm cash to his paytm wallet. The money got debited from his bank account but he did not receive the same in the Paytm account. He was told that the money will be refunded but refund was not done. He posted his complaint with ICF on 08-09-2014 and the matter was taken up with Paytm. Mr. Aggarwal finally got his money back by 11-09-2014.
Ms. Rema Chongtham, Hyderabad, Andhra PradeshRefund from Flipkart – Rs.7,980/: Ms. Rema Chongtham of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (rchongtha[at]gmail.com) ordered a Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 on Flipkart vide order No OD40704062764 on 4th July and receive on 9th July. When she checked the phone it showed that sim card not detected and sometime the phone did not switch on. She made a return request on the same day but was rejected. She posted her complaint with ICF on 14-07-2014 and the matter was taken up with Flipkart. The customer finally got refund by 30-07-2014.
Mr. Shekhar Pomendkar, Mumbai, MaharashtraRefund from Paytm: Mr. Shekhar Pomendkar, Ghatkopar west, Mumbai 400086, Maharashtra [shaky1029[at]yahoo.co.in] ordered Ambrane p-1000 portable charger powerbank on 3rd july 2014. He did not receive the item even after a week. The courier service kept on saying it will get delivered but after 2 weeks they said the shipment has been lost from their side n said to contact paytm. There was no response from Paytm to the customer’s emails. He therefore asked for the refund but there is no response. Mr. Pomendkar posted his complaint with ICF on 02-08-2014 and the matter was taken up with Paytim. He got his money back by 05-08-2014.
Moula Ali, Hyderabad, Andhra PradeshRefund for defective product from Homeshop18: Mr. Suman Macherla of Moula Ali, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh
(Email: mac.sum[at]gmail.com) purchased Wespro charger(order no:948245695 from HomeShop18 and received a defective product on July 8th 2014. As per return policy he mailed them on 9th July 2014 but did not get any response for his mails and telephone calls. He posted his complaint on 22-07-2014 and the matter was taken up with Homeshop18. Mr. Macherla got refund by 27-07-2014.
Karakunnam, Puthupadi P.O., Muvattupuzha, KeralaRefund from sports365.in – Rs.151/-: Mr. Sujeesh Paul, of Karakunnam, Puthupadi P.O., Muvattupuzha, Kerala (sujeeshgeorgepaul[@]hotmail.com) placed an order for a Quechua RAINCUT ZIP JACKET JUNIOR on 13th June, 2014 with sports365.in. He received the product and found the price tag on it stating MRP (Inclusive of all Taxes) only Rs. 699 whereas he was charged total amount including taxes Rs. 849.15. He approached sports365 for refund of excess amount but did not get any positive response. He posted his complaint with ICF on 27-06-2014 and the matter was taken up with sports365 who promptly refunded the excess amount. Issued got resolved by 12-07-2014.
Vashi, Navi Mumbai, MaharasthraRefund from Paytm – Rs. 5,828/- : Mr. Mangesh Sable of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra ordered a Fly F50Q (Blk+Slv) (Black) on 28/04/14. But the supplier (edge infotel) had sent 18 month old imported Fly 50S. Mr. Sable returned the phone with Paytm reverse courier. But he did not receive any replacement or refund. He posted his complaint on 13-06-2014 and the matter was taken up with Paytm. Finally, the refund was processed on 21-06-2014.
