Prestige - 13.04.2013Refund against defective Prestige induction cook top – Rs.3,500/-:
Mohan Lal Agrawal of Ghantaghar Chock Niharika Korba, Chhattishgarh purchased prestige induction cooktop pic 3.0 v2 in September 1012 with warranty. But After 15 days of using Induction cook top developed defects. It was serviced by the company but again after 10 days it starter giving problems. The device went out of order 5 times in 7 months and Mr. Agrawal demanded refund or replacement. Getting no response from the dealer and the manufacturer he posted his complaint with ICF on 04-03-2013 and finally got refund on or about 22-03-2013.
PrestigePrestige Induction Cooktop:
Mohan Lal Agrawal, Ghantaghar Chock Niharika Korba, Chhattishgarh Email: vikaskagrawal12(at)gmail.com purchased prestige induction cooktop pic 3.0 v2 about 7 months back but after 15 days of using Induction cook top got defective. The deviced was serviced by the company but again after using for 10 days it got stuck. This repeated for five times and the device was left with the distributor. Mr. Agrawal asked for replacement but the company/distributor were not willing to replace it. The customer insisted for a replacement or refund and posted his complaint with ICF on 04-03-2013. The issue was taken with the company and the customer finally got refund on or about 22-03-2013.
Life Insurance Corpn. of India - 12.04.2013LIC not reissuing survival/maturity benefit cheque:
Ms. Neetu Singh, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh LIC policy matured on 27-02-2013 but the maturity cheque was despatched to the old address even though she had provided the required NEFT mandate with new address. LIC said it will take time to get back the cheque and issue no payment instructions. She posted her complaint at ICF on 01-04-2013 and subsequently got the amount by 12-04-2013.
Spicejet - 11.04.2013Cancellation of ticket by Spicejet – Rs.5,000/-:
Ms. Nidhi Mishra, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh had bought round-trip ticket on Mangalore-Delhi-Mangalore sector for two passengers. The ticket was later split due to change in one of the passengers. There was no change in Ms. Mishra’s journey date but she was surprised to find her ticket had been postponed to a later date by Spicejet. She was not allowed to board the flight on the scheduled date. She had to incur extra expenses due to the sudden development for no fault of hers and she finally borded the flight on the postponed date. She asked Spicejet for refund for wrongfully postponing the ticket date. She posted her complaint with ICF on 12-03-2013 and ICF took up the matter with Spicejet. Finally the passenger and the airlines came to an understanding and the issue was resolved with Spicejet providing travel vouchers worth Rs.5,000/-.
Ebay.in - 09.04.2013Complaint regarding UPS purchased through Ebay – Rs.1,186.55
Jagannathan S, Thiruvallur Dist, Tamil Nadu purchased “Brand New Liebert ps Emerson UPS 600 VA for Laptop Desktop pc 2 year warranty” from seller gandhicomputers1 via eBay website but the item is defective. When contacted Emerson for the service, they mentioned that the UPS model had been stopped 4 fours ago. Also the UPS did not have serial number in it. The customer tried contacting seller several times through email but there was no response. He posted his complaint with ICF on 14-03-2013 and finally got refund for the UPS on or abot 09-04-2013.
Redbus.in - 31.03.2013ChennaiRefund from Red Bus / Travel services for changing bus service:
Ajay Shunmugam of Chennai – 600096, Tamil Nadu had booked a bus ticket for travel from Chennai to Coimbatore on 14-03-2013, 10 PM. The ticket# TF4C26644335. The bus service# as indicated in the ticket was C21. but the Travels sent a bus with service# C11. When Mr Shunmugam checked with them, he was told that his bus would arrive shortly but even after an hour the bus did not come. Subsequently Mr. Shunmugam came to konw that the bus service# was changed to C11. This was never informed to him and consequently he missed the bus. He posted his complaint with ICF on 16-03-2013 and got refund from the Travels.
Rediff.com Shopping - 26.03.2013Refund from Rediff.com shopping portal: Rs. 499/- :
Avinash Singh, Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi, Email: avinash.27cool(at)gmail.com ordered an electronic equipment (Rechargeable Hair Beard Trimmer) on 20-02-12013 from Rediff Shopping. The product turned out to be defective and not matching with the product in outer cover pack. He was asked by Rediff to return the product to the seller produce Courier Receipt of delivery. He was in continuous touch with Rediff to resolve the issue but Rediff took no steps for replacement or refund. Mr. Avinash Singh posted his complaint with ICF on 13-03-2013 and the issue pursued with Rediff. Mr. Singh finally got his refund on or about 24-03-2013.
Satvikshop.com - 26.03.2013Complaint against satvikshop.com for non-delivery – Rs.199/-.
Kishore K, Chandanagar, Hyderabad, andhra pradesh Email: kallepu_k(at)yahoo.com bought Dabur honey from satvik shop.com Jan 2 2013 via order no7000018208. They failed to deliver the product even after continuous follow up. They finally said the would refund the money but Mr. Kishore did not get the money. He posted his complaint with ICF on 23-03-2013 and got the money back on 25-03-2013.
