Here are some of the complaints solved by us. There could many more that have not been reported to us. We request consumer members to report to us whenever a complaint is resolved.
Homeshop18 - 04.11.2012Memory card not delivered by Homeshop18 – Rs.299/-:
Satish.R of Chennai, Tamilnadu (Email:satishktg@rediffmail.com) ordered Sandisk 4GB memory card In HOMESHOP18 ON LINE on 16-10-12 and was informed that the same will be delivered in 6 days. Until 2nd November the product was not delivered and Mr. Satish posted his complaint with ICF. The matter was taken up with Homeshop18 and Mr. Satish finally got the refund for the product.
Sura Publications - 19.06.2012Online book order not delivered by Sura Publications:
Ramachandran Murugesan, Ramanujampudur, TamilNadu (Email: sm_ramachandran(at)yahoo.co.in) placed an order for book RRB Clerical / Non-Technical Exam (Tamil) by V.V.K. Subburaj through online on their website http://www.surabooks.com/ on 04/Jun/2012. Subsequently he received confirmation mail also and the amount was debited from his ICICI bank account. But he did not receive the books. When he contacted their office number they simply replied that the book was out-of-stock. He asked them to return the money but that too was not done. He posted his complaint with ICF on 11-06-2012 and finally got his refund by 19-06-2012.
PVR CinemasPVR ticket booking problem Rs.1,015/-:
Sanchit Thakur, Chandigarh, UT (Email: sanchitthakur(at)illuminz.com) booked 7 tickets from PVR’s website on Monday 23rd of April, 2012 at about 6 pm. He got the confirmation form the Bank that Rs. 1015.00 have been deducted from my account and paid to PVR Limited in Gurgaon. However, he got no confirmation whasoever from PVRe. When he went to the ticket counter to collect the tickets, he was told that the tickets were not booked. After verifying this again and again finally Mr. Sanchit Thakur asked for refund which was not forthcoming. He posted his complaint with ICF on 15-06-2012 the matter was taken up with PVR and finally the issue was resolved 17-06-2012 to the customer’s satisfaction.
SamsungSamsung Mobile service complaint Rs.11,400/-:
Mahesh Vijay Shreyas of Marampally PO, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala (Email: maheshvijay82(at)gmail.com) had purchased Samsung GT B7722 Star Duos Mobile on 30/12/10. From the date of purchase till the complaint he had given the set for servicing 7 times for issues relating to memory. The problems persisted even after replacement of mother board and other parts. Mr. Mahesh posted his complaint with ICF on 03-05-2012 and finally got refund for the product by 29-05-2012.
MonginisQuality complaint against Monginis cake:
Ms. Dipika Mulchandani, Ghatkopar(w) mum 86, Maharastra (Email: dipikam86(at)gmail.com) purchased a cake from a local Monginis outlet at ghatkopar station west on the occassion of Mother’s day. It was later found that the cake appeared to be of not good quality and therefore she returned the cake to the monginis outlet and further it was returned to the company. Company declared the cake as normal and said that they will refund only Rs.100. Ms. Mulchandani wanted a better amount and she posted her complaint on 21-05-2012. The matter was taken up with Monginis and were willing to settle the issue by giving away a gift voucher for Rs.300/- which was acceptable to Ms. Mulchandani. The matter was thus amicably resolved.
Hyundai Showroom - 22.08.2010Refund of booking amount from Hyundai showroom – Rs.50,000/:
Mr. Vishal Guptal of Powai, Mumbai (vishal.vgupt(at)gmail.com) had paid an advance of Rs.50,000/- to A1 Hyundai dealer at Andheri (E), Mumbai against Hyundai i10 Asta 1.2 WS GLS AT on 04-07-2010. However, even after waiting for 32 days for the delivery, A1 Hyundai failed to get an allotment of the vehicle from Hyundai and kept were making false promises. Mr. Gupta cancelled his booking on 06-08-2010 and asked the refund of booking money. The dealer delayed paying back the booking money. Mr. Gupta lodged a complaint with ICF and got the refund on 22-08-2010
Makemytrip - 19.08.2010Refund complaint against MakeMyTrip – Rs.32,444/-:
Rahul Lodha & Deepali Jain of Parsiwada, Maharashtra (Email: rahullodha26(at)gmail.com) had booked from Delhi to Leh (on August 3rd 2010) through Make My Trip (MMT) for August 15th , 2010 by Kighfisher. MakeMyTrip did not provide the ticket and on 09-08-2010 Mr. Lodha found out from Kingfisher that no such flight was schedule for the said date of booking. Mr. Lodha subsequently cancelled the ticket and requested for refund which was not forthcoming. He posted his complaint with ICF on 12-08-2010 and got his refund by 19-08-2010
ICICI Prudential - 10.08.2010Complaint against ICICI Prudential Policy:
Mr. Purushotam Yadav of Rewari, Haryana (Email: purukmr(at)yahoo.com) had taken a policy on 26-03-2010 by making a deposit of Rs.30,000/- at the insistence of ICICI’s marketing personnel and he was assured mediclaim coverage, bonus commission, cash back and other benefits. After making the payment he had left for Oman and had tried to contact ICICI with regard to the said policy but did not get any response. Following his return to India, on checking the Policy details he was shocked to find that the features were entirely different to what he was offered. He did not get any of the benefits promised by the marketing people. Mr. Yadav took up the matter with ICICI Pru but his complaints were ignored. Mr. Yadav posted his complaint with ICF on 01-08-2010. ICF submitted the complaint to ICICI Pru and finally Mr. Yadav got his deposit amount back in the first week of August 2010.
