I purchased a 2-year AMC through the official Aquaguard / Eureka Forbes app on 26 September 2026 after being contacted by the company’s representative. At the time of purchase, I specifically informed the representative, Mr. Sxxxxxxxxxxh, that the purifier filters required urgent replacement. I was given a service appointment for 2 October 2026, which was also reflected in the app.
However, the service was not provided on the scheduled date. Despite repeated calls to company representatives, I received contradictory information and repeated assurances that the technician would visit the same day.
Instead of resolving the existing service request, customer care asked me to register a new complaint, and the service was subsequently rescheduled to 6/7 October 2026.
Due to the company’s failure to provide the service within the committed time frame, I have been unable to properly use my water purifier and have had to purchase drinking water from outside at approximately ?250 per day, causing financial loss and considerable inconvenience to me and my family.
I consider this to be a clear deficiency in service, particularly as the AMC payment has already been made and the company failed to honour the scheduled service commitment.
Relief Sought
I request the Consumer Forum/Commission to:
1. Direct the company to provide the pending AMC service and replace the filters immediately.
2. Provide appropriate compensation for the deficiency in service and inconvenience caused.
3. Reimburse/compensate the additional drinking-water expenses of approximately ?250 per day caused by the service delay.
4. Take appropriate action regarding the repeated contradictory assurances and failure to honour the scheduled service appointment.
5. Grant any other appropriate relief deemed fit
