I am writing this complaint with deep distress and disappointment about a shocking theft incident and complete misconduct at Max Fashion.
On 22nd July 2025, I visited the Max Fashion store for shopping. While using the trial room, my wallet was stolen. It contained ?1500 cash, ID cards, and other essentials. I immediately informed the store staff.
At first, the store manager falsely claimed that the wallet might have been taken by another customer. However, after requesting to check the CCTV footage, it became clear that only their staff had entered the trial room during the time of the theft. This clearly shows staff involvement which they denied.
What followed was even worse:
The store manager and staff were extremely uncooperative and rude, especially the lady security guard, who behaved in a very disrespectful manner.
They made us sign a “missing wallet” form, claiming that we would receive compensation within 48 hours.
We called multiple times over two days, and each time we were told to “wait,” and that some reward would be given. After dragging the issue past the 48-hour mark (which we now understand may help them avoid legal accountability), we received an email they offered us NOTHING – not a single rupee of compensation.
They simply reduced the originally claimed ?1500 down to ?350 in writing clearly to trick us and close the issue. This feels like a deliberate attempt to delay and escape accountability. There was no genuine apology or resolution from the store.
My Requests:
1. Immediate compensation of ?1500 as promised.
2. Proper action against the involved staff and security of Max Fashion .
I strongly urge the Consumer Forum and other authorities to take this matter seriously.
This isnt just about money its about justice and customer safety.
