GST charges on discounted items by Firstcry

I quiet often purchase goods from Firstcry during the discount season, but they always charge GST on top of it mentioning a clause “GST is applicable on discounted items”. when GST is included in the MRP why are we charged + GST again. We buy different products from different other e-commerce shopping sites but so far one are charging GST on top of discounts provided by the site.
This is a big fraud or huge issue where many people are missing / ignoring.
I would really want to know how GST works and how are we getting fooled by these “FirstCry” people.

Refund from Flipkart – Rs.5,999/-: Mr. Dinga Sailo of Aizawl 796001, Mizoram ordered a mobile handset from Flipkart.com on 6th January 2015 for Rs.5999/-. When the parcel was deliver, he found journals and magazines instead of mobile device. He reported this to Flipkart but no steps were taken to resolve the issue. Kotak Mahindra Bank changes a/c type without information – deduct charges from account: Mr. Atul Jain of Indore had posted a complaint on 03-09-2009 in the Forum with regard to Kotak Mahindra Bank changing his account type and debiting his account for non-maintenance of average quarterly balance.
