I have booked a flight ticket online in the website of makemytrip.com from Hyderabad to Washington DC of USA, Via London. The ticket is for travel on 19/4/2021 and booked on 3/3/2021 by British Airways. Yesterday, I came to know from the airlines that only USA passport holders can travel from UK and hence advised me not to start from India. It seems, as informed by British Airways, that this rule exists from Jan onwards , much before my buying the ticket. In such a case, I do not know how the travel agent had issued me the ticket, even when I had specified my Indian Passport number while buying the ticket. When I asked him to change the flight, they say , I do not get any amount as my ticket is a non-refundable one. Even on the ticket it is printed that with Indian Passport, one can travel to US in the guidelines for US Travelers. I am attaching the ticket. Please take up with the travel agent and do justice for me to get back my amount.
