146. Refund from Clear Trip – Rs.1,828/-
Mr. Harsha, Bangalore, Karnataka (Email: email@example.com) tried to make hotel booking on 18-05-2012 through Clear Trip. Though the booking was not confirmed the amount got deducted from his account and he did not get refund. Mr. Harsha posted his complaint with ICF on 23-05-2012 and got his refund by 25-05-2012.
147. Non-delivery by Jabong – Rs.850/-
Mr. Abhijit Chakraborty of Navrangpura, Ahmedabad (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org) ordered for 3 items with Jabong on 28-04-2012 but only two were delivered and Peora Silver Earrings worth Rs.850 was not delivered. Repeated complaints and telephonic calls to Jabong did not resolve the issue. Mr. Chakraborty posted his complaint with ICF on 16-05-2012. After further follow-ups, Jabong issued a voucher for Rs.850/- and the issue was finally resolved with the delivery of the order on 27-05-2012.
148. Delivery of IFB Microwave oven – Rs.11,290/-:
Jayashree Patil of Nashik, Maharashtra (Email: email@example.com) placed online order through IFB website for IFB Microwave Oven on March 27th 2012 by paying Rs.11290 using ICICI bank Credit card. While ordering it was displayed that order will be delivered by April 10, 2012 but the order was not delivered until 8 May, 2012 when the cutomer posted complaint with ICF. After follow-ups, the product was delivered on 11 May, 2012
149. Refund from India Today Book Club – Rs.3000/-:
Mr. Rajasekhar Batchu of Bangalore, Karnataka (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org) ordered a Reebok kit from India Today Book Club for Rs.3000. Due to wrong size the product was returned to India Today Book club. Even after a long time he neither got the product nor received refund. He posted his complaint with ICF on 26-02-2012 and finally got his money back by 14-05-2012. Mr. Batchu also got a Rebook watch as compensation for the delay.
150. Refund from Sura Publications:
Mr. R Murugesan of Ramanujampudur, TamilNadu (Email: email@example.com) had placed an order for book RRB Clerical / Non-Technical Exam (Tamil) by V.V.K. Subburaj through online with www.surabooks.com on 04/Jun/2012. Subsequently he received confirmation mail and the amount was debited from his ICICI bank account. However, he did not receive the books as committed by the portal. When he contacted their office, they replied that they got received my order on 06062012 and the book was out of stock. Mr. Murugesan then asked them to return the money. But they didn’t do so even after sending reminder emails. He posted his complaint with ICF on 11-06-2012 and got his money back by 19-06-2012.
