I moved into Pinecrust cluster in Godrej Garden City, Ahmedabad about 2 weeks ago. After placing a request for transfer of internet connection from my previous house to my ISP, Spidigo, we were told by the ISP that the authorities at Godrej did not allow them to lay the fiber connection needed to provide high speed internet facilities. Having paid for a prepaid plan lasting 10 more months starting today, we looked into the matter with the Godrej authorities. They said that fiber connections from ISPs, Airtel and GTPL have been laid but they won’t allow Spidigo. Now the ISP says that the speed that we will get with a normal connection will be precisely half of what we paid for. Godrej is trying to enforce certain brands onto the tenants of its buildings in the name of competition. It is extremely unfair and i feel cheated and betrayed. The price of the connection was Rs 12000.
