I have purchased a Lenovo Ideapad from Flipkart on 9th August 2017. It was delivered on 10th Aug, which was found “Dead on arrival” with no display. Immediately replacement request was placed on the flipkart website and it was assured that Lenovo Technican visit will be completed within 16th of August and replacement will be done after the technician approval.
On repeated follow up, the same answer was given by flipkart customer care personnel. On 18th August customer care personnel said that matter has been communicated to higher authority and will be resolved within 22nd aug.
I recieved a call from Lenovo on 24th Aug that flipkart has contacted them on 21st Aug (instead of 10th Aug as flipkart communicated) about a problem and finally technician visit was done on 26th Aug. The motherboard was found defective and the Lenovo technician sealed the product.
Flipkart agreed to deliver the replacement on or before 1st Sep.
Today, on 1st Sep, delivery guy arrived with the new product and had a serial number with him to be verified for replacement. he opened the Lenovo seal for checking the serial number.
It was discovered to my utter shock that the serial numbers did not match. The serial number mentioned on the lenovo machine and the invoice dated 9th August was SPFOTG1QY and the serial number which the delivery guy had with him was F22754*** and so the product could not be replaced.
After calling up flipkart, they extended the delivery time to 6th Sep. This matter has been going on for almost a month without satisfactory response or firm committment from flipkart other than the customary -We understand your problem,our team will take care.
I am facing constant mental agony for past 20 days and there is no seriousness from Flipkart to resolve the issue.
