Me and my wife are currently in chennai. We were looking for couples pg in electronic city(Bangalore) simce we are moving to bangalore in october 1st week. So we reached out to colive to find one. Our relationship manager is Mr. Rxxxxt(xxxxx20557).
We clearly informed him that we want Couples PG in electronic city and we will be checking in by October 1st week, 2022. He sent us the pictures of rooms in Keshav PG INN in electronic city. And insisted us to pay booking amount as the property is in high demand. He also promised that the booking amount is transferable to other properties of colive, in case I didn’t like Keshav PG. So we went ahead and paid Rs.3998(Rs. 1999 each) as booking amount on August 23rd, 2022.
After booking go an email with booking confirmation and a handbook. Room 111 has been booked for us. In the handbook, Rule 3.1.5, says that if I fail to checkin withing 15 days of booking, my booking will be cancelled and my booking amount will not be refunded. So I asked him, why did he made us to book the PG more than 40 days in advance. He didn’t give proper reply to that.
I had planned to visit bangalore to inspect Keshav PG on August 27th. Meanwhile, I was pleading him to send other properties’ list, in electronic city, so that I can visit them if I didn’t like Keshav PG. But he sent details of a PG near Madiwala which is no way near electronic city. When I asked him for property in electronic city. He just said me to first visit Keshav PG and we can decide other things if I didn’t like it. Since I can’t be travelling again and again to Bglr to finalize the PG, I was literally begging him for more properties’ list. But he rarely replied to my concerns and at times displayed rude attitude.
Finally, I went to visit Keshav PG on 27th. As I feared, the PG locality and the PG itself was so terrible. PG is literally in between piles of trash. And there is knee height water logging around the PG. To add salt to the wound, there was no room with number 111. The owner of Keshav PG says that, they will not accept booking for october and all and he can’t promise vacancy for october 1st week checkin. If reservation can’t be made so much in advance, why didn’t they inform me regarding this and instead made me pay booking amount?
I sent him the pictures of the trash surrounding the PG and water logging. Even at that time, I asked if there is vacancy in any other colive property. He said there is no vacancy available in electronic city. So I called him again to ask about refund. After multiple attempts he picked up the call. He said he will speak to his manager about refund.
Now it is September 13th, and I have tried calling him and texting him in whatsapp multiple times. He is neither picking my call nor replying for my texts. This is a clear case of duping the customer. I have attached screenshots of whatsapp chat and transaction proofs
