I have visited cloudnine hospital in Malleshwaram. I understand that they offer maternity packages. As part of the packages they charge for certain consumable items such as disposables, PPE kits, etc. Patients who get admitted are required to pay for these items as per the price charged by the hospital. It appears that the the charges are higher than the market price. I understand that hospitals cannot compel patients to buy these consumables from the hospital. The consumers should have an option of getting the items from market. Also if the patient is tested negative for corona virus, why is that there is a compulsory charge collected for PPE kits?
