Regarding service from Travel Triangle on flight cancellation

We had booked our flight tickets to Vietnam via travel triangle. The tickets included flight of Jet Airways. Due to unfortunate incidents with jet airways, our flights were cancelled. Since they were codeshare flights, the other airline partner were ready to provide with alternate flights. We have a written email from them stating same. But travel triangle agents refused this and told us that flight has been cancelled and we will have to book new flights. They also provided much costlier options then one available in market. When we asked them about why this happened, they were not able to produce any proof of communication that happened between them and airlines stating flights has to be cancelled and no alternative arrangements can be made.
We then asked them to book flights at their own expense, only the difference amount had to be beared by them, they refused to it and beared only 15k of the total amount.
We demand a compensation of complete amount and the trauma we had to go through for change of flights, flight booking process, etc.
