Regarding service Issue at Volkswagen service Center-Gurgaon

I gave my car for repair after accident at Volkswagen service centre in Gurgaon on 14 Sep 2021.  At time of giving car the workshop person Mr. Rxxxl Indicated some engine issue, so they could not start the car as radiator and coolant were broken. That time they gave be a estimated cost of repair (without engine work) of Rs.3,00,000 Approx. which was to be finalized after Insurance company surveyor visit n verification.  After verification the cost was estimated to around 2,50,000 for which i have approval for repair.  It was confirmed by the person that car will be repaired within 10-12 days. On my visit to service centre on 29 Sep 2021 only radiator and coolant were installed on which the person confirmed me verbally that we started the engine and kept it on for 1 hour and it doesn’t seem it has engine issue. I was ok to spend the remaining cost on it as the engine started and was fine. Now after installation of parts and making a billing of Rs 2,00,000 now service centre is claiming that engine has issue after test drive and smell is there and they need approval to open engine top.
Even they took Rs 50,000 as advance saying its company policy.
My concern is why engine testing and test drive was not taken before replacing parts worth Rs 2,00,000.?
If it was alarmed before replacing the part which are not concerned with engine customer could have taken a call whether to spend so much money on repair in showroom or get it repaired outside or even sell the car as it is.
Are they trying to rob customer pockets.? When i am trying to reach to their GM Mr. Rxxxxh he is not answering the calls.  Another Customer Advisor Mr. Dxxxp Cxxxxxa also stopped taking call after first interaction
I have sent so many emails and lodged a complaint on custom support at Volkswagen but have not received even a single call or reply from them.
On top of all this now Gurgaon showroom is threating and harassing me saying if i do not give approval or take car they will charge Rs 500/per day as parking charge from me.
