I would like to notify that even after continuous and strict warnings by Indian Govt. regarding charging mrp cost for packed water, hardly any restuarant is following rule. Below I have mentioned one such experience which reflects complete shame and disregard to Indian Law.
t end) in Kanpur for dine-in. When we asked for bill, we were surprised as they have charged Rs. 50 per 1L water bottle. So we decided to talk to the manager and let him realize that they are doing wrong and disobeying supreme court laws. I would must say that the manager was shamelessly saying that there is no such rule and he has no fear if we go and write any complain in consumer forum.
It’s my sincere request to Indian consumer forum to take serious action against this restuarant and teach them a lesson for disobeying the Indian Law System. I am hopeful that my words will reach to the right person who will keep his/her promise to protect the consumers right. I believe it is not just my concern but the whole nation’s hence, it should be taken seriously.
