I have taken a Housing loan from HDFC bank (HDFC LTD) in Feb 2003. I have paid all the installments and now the bank loan account dashboard shows loan closed and no dues balance. I recd an email intimation on April 2024 that the loan stands fully paid and no outstanding pending and collect the documents by visiting personally. I was out of India and couldn’t visit in person at the bank and I have already informed them me and my wife is out of country and not visited India for past 6-7 years.
Now we are approaching them for collection of original property documents they are asking Rs 63543 to pay them for releasing the documents. If I login to my loan account it shows, nothing pending and no dues all clear even I checked today. Below you can see I approached the bank several times and my wife personally visited the branch in August with a valid power of Attorney attested by Indian Consulate Dubai. The bank demanding Rs63543 to pay for releasing the documents and not handed over the original documents.
I request your help in this regard to get my property documents from the bank and I have entered in an agreement to sell and if dont get document then I am liable to pay penalty and damages to the buyer as per the terms.
