Complaint regarding convenience fee charged by Myntra

Complaint regarding convenience fee charged by Myntra

Recently, I tried placing an order from Myntra app. On adding items to the cart with a total value of 2800, the total bill showed an additional 149Rs convenience fee charge. On enquiring from customer care, I was informed due to high return rates you are charged this amount. However, Myntra doesn’t mention the number of times a customer is allowed to return the product or what is labeled as “high return rates” and to avoid that you should either opt for an exchange or shouldn’t return. It’s purely a subjective criterion. I had ordered 6 items in the past year out of which 5 were returned because the size ordered was not fitting and no bigger size was available for those products in exchange. Myntra app shows if you return 8 out of 10 times then you are a defaulter while I just placed 6 orders in total last year. So, I am not left with any other option than return the product. After an unsatisfactory reply from Myntra, I tried filling the feedback form. I was unable to submit the negative feedback because whenever a customer submits a negative feedback it shows an error ” please enter valid input”. However, now I am being compelled by Myntra to order products after paying a convenience fee. As I have 2800Rs in Myntra credit, I am bound to order from Myntra only as the amount is non-transferable and non-refundable. Please refund my mytra cedit amount to my parent account.

Terrible delivery charges from Myntra.. i had returned 1 of the four items ordered and no exact size available at that time. Now to buy a 197 rs item they are changing 299 delivery charges.
Till yesterday it was 199 and today 299 without any prior notice
Now i cannot utilize the the credit amount remaining

Long gone are the days when customers were called king. Customers are fools these days. First we make these companies rich by using their apps then once customers are habituated, they start charging us like anything. Major returns are done due to size variations between various brands and nonavailability. How much can we tell about quality from photos. I have several myntra products which had color washed away in literally 2 washes and they are this dirty white color now. Now false counts of returns issued are reflecting and being charged Rs299 per order. Also it states they can revoke return rights anytime. Even if we pay convenience fee then what is the point!!

  1. Both Myntra and Flipkart are playing tricks now. On one hand they give wrong details & measurements of the product, and on other hand penalize customers for ‘returns’. How is a customer responsible if the measurements etc are posted wrong on the website?

  2. Why would I select e-commerce if I am being charged for the items that do not fit me well or are of a poor quality? Does Myntra give the guarantee for the products? All of a sudden without any prior notice we get these warnings on the app, not a good customer experience. This is when I am a regular Myntra customer. Well that is the advantage of e-commerce right, you order a few, wait for all to be delivered, try out and keep the ones that fit well. I might as well switch to the traditional way of offline shopping.

Myntra is charging convience fee saying that your returns are higher but they not tell us in advance how much is considered as high returns out of total orders. We return product due to size or quality issue. We are not Happy/satisfy with the product for which we have spend the hard earned money.

Myntra is supposed to be an e-commerce company. All e-commerce companies are allowing us to return. There are valid reasons to return the products, the size shown on the app is never the same in reality and they don’t have smaller sizes. hence I return. We order a product and they charge a convenience fee, this amount they do not give back when a product is returned . Till this part, it is okay. Now on top of that they are calling some of their customers ‘defaulters’ for crossing a return limit and putting amounts of 199 rs and more as convenience fee. If you are charging a convenience fee in the first place, then why penalize us later, for returning items?

Pathetic customer service. They will not transfer the credit and won’t waive off the convenience fee either. User doesn’t have any option

At myntra I ordered crocs and all the three time crocs where of diff sizes was delivered. Now obv I had to return the product and when I returned each time 10 rs was deducted and that way myntra collected 30 rs from me I am sure if entire population is facing this then they will soon become super rich by collecting convenience fee only.. what is this ? And if it’s return penalty then they should stop this service ppl can buy from stores as well… and be rest assured product is genuine which is not true when myntra delivers high end… it’s either used or fake..

I have automatically given notification from Myntra that my issue is resolved. Which is not resolved as I am still seeing RS 299 charge as the name of convenience fees.
I haven’t got any call as well I am not provided with any information till when I will get this charges? What are the conditions?

    Is it resolved for anyone?

Myntra while marketing themselves as easy returns and exchange within 14 days but charging a convience fee 299 per order. Been experiencing the same issue since my last 4 orders Myntra has charged me convience fee of 199rs extra on every order apart from GST and delivery charges, the customer service was pathetic, they stated will reduce when returns will be reduced, however in this entire year i had returned just to order as Myntra policy of Easy returns within 14days, within any complaints on tags or untimely returns and even after keeping my last two orders paying extra convience fee of rs 199, now while ordering new product instead of reducing the convience fee they increased it to 299rs per order. Customer care had no justification on the same and even disconnected the call. Ironically, the company is advertising it’s as easy returns and exchange company in its tv and social media even mentioned below every product decision.

I’ve experienced a mere 17% return rate on past orders, yet I’m consistently charged ?199 as a conveyance fee. This issue persists despite my numerous attempts to resolve it through customer support, including escalating it to the highest level. It’s baffling that neither the support team nor their supervisors can explain the criteria for these charges.

Even more perplexing is the fact that my wife, who experiences a significantly higher return rate of around 60%, is only charged ?15 as a fee. To add to the confusion, I created a new account under my Father’s mobile number, and to my dismay, Myntra continued to charge ?199 as a fee. How can a brand-new account be slapped with such a fee?

This situation raises concerns not only about the inconsistency in charges but also about Myntra’s advertised “30-day Easy Return Policy.” It’s evident that a more transparent and fair policy is needed. Perhaps it’s time to consider collective action against such practices.

While this message may come across as stern, it’s important to emphasize the need for resolution and fairness in these matters.

Hi Priyanka, I am facing the same issue with Myntra and was hoping to get my Myntra credits transferred to the original bank account. Their customer care has refused to do so, nor are they waving off the convenience fee so I can use my credits one time and get done with it.
I just don’t see a point spending INR. 299 more on an order, would rather never use this app again, but for now my money is stuck so looking for some solution.
Is there any positive outcome in your situation?

From last so many days, I ordered from Myntra and return some products according to the need. Today I got to know that Myntra is deducting the convince fees whole refund. It’s not fair. I need my money back because your product was not good.

Flipkart now charging ?18 on whole paylater charges unless paid.
But MYNTRA charges ?20 extra per order whether u purchase/keep/exchange/return/cancel. I don’t know if buying at a time all the items would reduce this(per order) individual charge, but even if I return/cancel/exchange, the money I get refund is the original amount paid not the extra charges. Wtf is this Myntra!! You took customer’s freedom of shopping online. High Dissatisfaction ????

U could hav lieved the charges for paylater one time like Flipkart; could have been okayy. ????????????
