Complaint regarding non-delivery by Amazon vendor

This is regarding an order I placed on Amazon on 26th December worth INR 21000. They promised a guarantee delivery date of 30th December. On 30th December, they said that they attempted delivery but could not deliver, without even trying to deliver or contacting me. I called the customer care asking them to deliver it the next day at any cost, since this was a time sensitive official order. I called them 8-9 times since 30th, and they keep giving me fake promises like you will receive a call from the delivery agent in an hour, the product will reach you by 6PM today etc. None of this happens. Today, i.e. 1st Jan, they marked the order as delivered (mentioning that it was handed over to the customer) without delivering or even contacting me for that matter. I called them asking them to escalate, and the agent mentioned that it would take 24 hours to escalate this matter. When such a huge amount is involved, I don’t understand how they don’t have fast track mechanisms to resolve this. I feel mentally harrased because of this treatment and would pledge the consumer forum to take strict action against this so called multinational company.
