Booked two tickets from cleartrip from delhi to bagdogra trip. later govt announced reversal of udf charges. cleartrip has not refunded me back the charges in cash/bank but issued me two gift vouchers of rs.552 each which has a validity of 2/10/18. I have since then called them many times and asked for a refund in my account but they are refusing to do so. I also tried using the voucher whilst booking a hotel but it was denied- message got was wrong voucher. This is highly unacceptable because while booking we have paid cash and while refund they are issuing gift vouchers. If I am unable to use them then my money goes down the drain. also I have checke for fare tarrifs at cleartip to use the voucher but they are high compared to other sites like mmt goibibo. what should I do I want the amount back in my bank. are there any chances that they will return the same or should I approach the conumers forum. I also have a telephone recording with them where they acknowledge but refuse to pay back the refund in cash. I also have theie mails where they have enclosed the vouchers.
