I have been ordering baby items fro First Cry.com. They are giving discounts on products (which is the MRP). After that while payment, they add extra GST (on discounted price) and the total adds upto almost the MRP.
As GST is already included in MRP, how can one just charge it again just by giving discounts. Hope action will be taken towards this case.

Totally agree with the original complainant. When I place an order on firstcry.com they offer a discount on MRP and then add GST on top of the discounted MRP.
Although they are not charging the customer more than MRP, however, showing discount on MRP (which includes GST) and then charging GST again is a clear fraud.
yes, this is totally cheating by firstcry. simply attracting customer with discounts and charging GST on the top of the discounted prices
Same here I’ve ordering things from first cry they are cheating customers. Giving discounts and then charge GST on the discounted price. Almost equal to MRP.
Why FIRSTCRY charging their own GST??? This means we are paying double tax …no other online shop eg Amazon,flipcart,nykaa etc charges gst like firstcry….

They advertise their discounts to attract customers and then make them pay the gst. They say they only charge gst on products with more than 19% discount. Then why aren’t other brands doing the same? When they say the provide discount they actually do unlike firstcry.
I too experience this double GST scam. Still you can check with their websites. It’s marketing strategies without ethics.
