Repeated Gas Leakage in Daikin AC Within One Year

I am filing this complaint against Daikin India due to a repeated gas leakage issue in my Daikin split AC unit. Last year, around 24th July 2024, there was a gas leakage which, as per the service executive, happened due to a broken and rusted gas pipe. We were assured the pipe would be properly covered to prevent water contact and avoid such issues again. I was charged ?7,500 for this repair.

However, now in April 2025, we are again experiencing gas leakage in the same AC. After registering a fresh complaint, a technician visited but could not identify the source of the leakage. He confirmed that the pipe cover is intact, and there’s no sign of water exposure. He further demanded ?1,500 just to use nitrogen gas to detect the leakage, along with an estimated ?3,500+ service charges for gas refilling.

I fail to understand why the customer is being asked to pay repeatedly for an issue that was supposedly fixed less than a year ago. This indicates either poor servicing or faulty parts. Why should customers bear the cost of repeated diagnostic attempts when the issue remains unresolved?

We have six Daikin ACs at our parents’ house, and not even one has had this issue in over 7 years, yet this particular unit seems to be failing every year. This raises serious questions about Daikin’s product quality and service accountability.

My Expectations:

Daikin must inspect the AC at their own cost, as the issue is recurring.

A permanent and fair resolution must be provided without further charges.

If not resolved, I will be compelled to surrender the product and raise the matter legally.
