Uber, Ola charging exorbitant amounts

Hi, I am a resident of Pune. Off late it has been observed that uber/ola cabs are charging exorbitant amounts for rides. For eg. If I look for taxi from Shankar Seth road to Katraj Kondwa road it is showing above 300 rs. Is there no bar on pricing? Can this not be regulated? This is simply monopolizing the whole taxi/cab market. It has to be stopped. Paying 50-60 rs per km is unreasonable. Auto fares are also higher than the meter prices.
If some action can be taken on these cab companies i would be highly grateful.

Complaint against MakeMyTrip for short payment of train ticket refund – Rs.1272/-: Mr. Thiyagarajan of Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu (thiyagarajan.t(at)gmail.com) had posted a complaint with us on 28-03-2010 for non-receipt of full refund from MakeMyTrip against cancellation of train ticket. Refund from Patanjali – Rs.1018/-: Ms. Disha of Indore 452003, Madhya Pradesh did not receive refund after she cancelled her order on Patanjali mobile application. The order ID was 7678163797. Refund from DTDC – Rs.1,040/-: Mr. Vivek Sharma of Bangalore, Karnataka (vivek0217[@]gmail.com) sent a courier through DTDC , reference number D17166789, on 10th May 2014 but it was lost on its way to Delhi. Package contained shoes worth Rs800 which was declared. He had submitted all documents in support of his claim of Rs 1040 (800+ 240 courier charges) but DTDC were not processing the same.
