I had booked a Maruti Swift from Zoomcar on 08/07/2020 for 09/07/2020 (DOJ). However, on the 08th itself, the Government of West Bengal announced a complete lockdown from 09/07/2020 5:00 pm onwards so there was no point in taking the car so I cancelled the booking on the 08th.
As per Zoomcar policy, if a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of booking date & time, 50% of the booking amount will get refunded within 5-15 days from the date of cancellation (08/07, in this case).
I have been waiting for the refund to be processed. On the 23rd (15 days after the cancellation), I called up the Zoomcar support team enquiring about the refund. The agent (Naeem) informed me that it will take another 7 days for the amount to be refunded, which is against their own defined policy and I have still not received the refund, till date.
As they didn’t follow their own policy, I approach you to take this matter with Zoomcar and help me get my complete 100% booking amount refunded now, as it is more than 19 days from the day I had cancelled the booking. How can a company not follow the rules of their own policy, i.e 50% will be refunded within 5-15 days ?
As none of the above rules were followed I would like to have the complete booking amount to be refunded back into my account.
Would request you to look into the matter and help me with the same.
Thanking you in anticipation!!
