I placed an order with Dell international Services India Pvt. Ltd. at its official website for purchase of Dell Vostro 15 3501 laptop on 20th May’21 at Rs 36,990.
The order is still with Dell and not being shipped till date.
Yesterday I found fresh listing (Dell Vostro 15 3501 laptop) with upgraded offer (additional 1 TB HDD, & 3 year warranty support) at Rs 33448.79 (i.e. Rs 3500 cheaper) than the unit I purchased.
I’m staring at a loss of Rs 7.5 k to 9k as follows vis-a-vis to more competitive offer currently available:
Price difference : Rs 3500
3 year warranty : Rs 1499
1 TB HDD : Rs 2500 – Rs 4000
My purchase of 7 days ago bringing a loss of Rs 7500 – Rs 9000 I.e 20 – 24 % of the order value.
As my order is yet to be served.
I requested Dell personnel to look into matter and suggested any of the following options :
1. Pass on the benefit of reduced prices and consider refund (of Rs 7.5k -9k) to the payment gateway used, or
2. Equip the ordered unit additionally with 1 TB HDD, extend warranty up to 3 years and refund differential amount of Rs 3500 to the payment gateway used, or
3. Cancel the existing order and help me to place a fresh order to avail benefits as per mentioned listing.
Dell International Services India Pvt. Ltd. refused to entertain any request / options suggested.
As both listing are still live on Dell official website, it is requested to intervene / advise me for taking the formal complaint at Consumer Court against the company
