On 05.07.19 , I erroneously made a booking for 05.07.19-06.07.19 for a deluxe luxury suite for the Byke Heritage , Matheran. In within 20 min I called Goibibo to amend the date to 19th-20th July.
On 6th they called confirming the amendment is done but to my bad luck, I made a mistake with the date & I wanted it be 20-21st July actually. The customer rep was supposed to check & get back to me. From here I had to take all the initiatives to call them. They informed me the hotelier isn’t allowing another amendment or cancellation/refund but still they asked for sometime. They kept convincing me the management team is working on it. I kept calling them relentlessly from 6th-10th July . They asked me to call the hotel, but the hotelier asked me to confront goibibo only.
Finally on the 11th I demanded a respinse via Twitter & they e-mailed me back saying a refund or amendment is not possible.
My concern is I cannot let my hard earned money go in loss. The dates 19th -20th are yet to come & the hotel or Goibibo isn’t incurring any losses. Once a cancellation is made , the room is available for others to book, only if they would have done this sooner. I cannot let my money go down the drain as i was trusting a refund & genuinely wanted to book for 20th & 21st.
It wasn’t an intended cancellation. All happened as a ‘human error’ & i don’t expect to be penalized for it. Also, if the hotelier denied my right to re-amend the date or a refund, I expect Goibibo to share a understanding with the hotelier..
I expect a refund.
I trust to have this resolved at the earliest.
